Will you help if you were me?

Yesterday, i went to coronation plaza. While at the busstop, there is this old lady approach me.. "ah di, ni zhi dao ji hao che qu tempines ma?".....

I told her that i dunno. Then i told her i go and check out for her. I went to the board, and look for tempines, and came back to her, telling her that 67 will go to Tempines. then she say "orh.." About 10 seconds later, she told me, "ke yi jie gei wo yong ni de dian hua da hui jia wen wen ma?" (can you lend me your phone to call home to double check?)

For me, i dun like people to use my phone. Dun mention stranger, even my friends, they gotta wait long long to use my handphone.. So I din lend her. Also, i have been seeing alot of advertisement on TV about asking to borrowing Handphone and flee.. so i dun dare..

You may say that she is just an old lady, why so scared? hahaha, you may not be experience enough of this world. She might not steal your handphone, but many problem can come up in the future, e.g. prank calls (that i been receiving which will result in me changing the telephone number again), etc..

So I rather be safe than sorry.. i told her that i was waiting for important call (craps!!). She kind of understand me (really meh?) and she din persist...

Luckily, with in 1 minute, bus number 67 came, and i told her to board the bus, and she boarded the bus, and i felt so relieved!

You may say that i am evil.. yeah.. but in this kind of society, what can i do? if you give in, you will lose! I can recall many incident that being kind can lead to many disadvantage. and in this type of society, you gotta be harsh, somethimes.

Though i always believe that being kind, humble is the best way. But always have to remember to look at the situation.
